Founded in 2001 by Dr. Amit Goffer in Israel, ReWalk Robotics pioneered the development of powered exoskeletons for personal and rehabilitation use. The company's flagship ReWalk Personal system received FDA clearance in 2014 for home and community use, making it one of the first exoskeletons cleared for personal use in the United States. ReWalk went public on the Nasdaq in 2014. The company has R&D operations in Israel and commercial operations in the United States and Europe. In 2023, the company rebranded and expanded its product line to include the ReStore soft exo-suit for stroke rehabilitation.
