About
Founded in 1999 by Prof. Amnon Shashua and Ziv Aviram at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Mobileye pioneered the use of computer vision for automotive safety. The company's EyeQ system-on-chip family powers ADAS features in vehicles from over 50 automakers worldwide. Mobileye was acquired by Intel in 2017 for approximately $15.3 billion and went public again on the Nasdaq in October 2022. The company is developing full self-driving systems using a combination of camera-first perception, Road Experience Management (REM) crowd-sourced mapping, and Responsibility-Sensitive Safety (RSS) driving policy.
